Itinerary

Night 1 – Complimentary Arrival Stay

Before the adventure begins, unwind with a complimentary overnight stay in Chiang Mai. It’s our way of helping you shake off the travel fatigue and start fresh. Enjoy the vibrant charm of the city, rest up, and get ready for the ride of a lifetime.

The next morning, we’ll collect you from the hotel at 7:30 AM. From there, it’s a short ride to our headquarters for a hearty breakfast at Route 66 Bikers Café. After a quick briefing and paperwork, it’s time to gear up and hit the road.

Day 1 – Chiang Mai, Mae Taeng & Pai (158 km)

Your two wheeled journey begins as you cruise out of Chiang Mai, heading straight for the cool heights of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park. The road twists past lush mountain forests and leads to the iconic golden temple of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, gleaming over the city below.

As the ride continues, pass through traditional Karen and Lisu hill tribe villages, where time moves at its own pace. Stop at Mae Taeng for a chance to connect with Thailand’s majestic elephants. From here, the route delivers endless curves through mountain passes, ending the day in Pai, a relaxed town buzzing with artistic flair, good food and epic sunsets.

Day 2 – Pai to Mae Hong Son (148 km)

Fuel up and set off into a dreamscape of winding jungle roads and mountain mist. The ride from Pai to Mae Hong Son is packed with adrenaline-pumping curves and panoramic viewpoints, including a stop at the dramatic ridgelines of Pai Canyon. As you approach Mae Hong Son, you’ll enter a region rich in Shan culture and history. Wander through peaceful temples and enjoy the slower pace of life. Before sunset, ride up to Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu for one of the most unforgettable views in Northern Thailand, golden pagodas overlooking a valley blanketed in fog.

Day 3 – Mae Hong Son to Mae Sariang (225 km)

Today’s ride dives deeper into Thailand’s wild and untouched side. Your first stop: Tham Lod Cave, where bamboo rafts guide you through an eerie world of ancient limestone and prehistoric wall art.

Back on the road, cruise past emerald-green mountains and into the serene countryside. The towering Mae Surin Waterfall offers a refreshing break before continuing through remote hill tribe villages, where traditional ways of life still thrive. By late afternoon, arrive in Mae Sariang, a charming riverside town of teak homes and sunset reflections on the Yuam River.

Day 4 – Mae Sariang, Doi Inthanon and back to Chiang Mai (197 km)

Your final ride is nothing short of spectacular. Leave behind the calm of Mae Sariang and begin a thrilling ascent up Doi Inthanon, Thailand’s tallest mountain. The road slices through ever-changing scenery, from tropical jungle to misty highlands.

Take in the views from the twin Royal Pagodas, perched high among vibrant flower gardens. Pause at waterfalls like Wachirathan and Vachiratharn, their spray casting rainbows through the trees. A visit to a Karen Long Neck village offers a glimpse into centuries-old customs before descending through golden rice terraces and rolling hills.

End your tour back in Chiang Mai, where a farewell dinner awaits at Route 66, one last chance to share stories with fellow riders and toast your completion of the epic 1864 curves.
