FAQs

Tour Logistics & Travel Planning

Are motorcycle tours available all year?

Yes, we operate tours 12 months a year. That said, the most comfortable riding weather typically falls between October and March, when temperatures are cooler and rainfall is minimal.

If you’re traveling internationally, it’s best to arrive a few days early to recover from jet lag and settle in before your journey begins.

Of course! While post-tour accommodations aren’t included in your package, we’re happy to recommend places to stay and share local tips for food, nightlife or sightseeing.

We encourage packing light and practical. On longer rides, we provide 40 litre waterproof duffel bags stored in our support truck. Each bike is also equipped with panniers for day-to-day gear.

Absolutely. Partners are welcome to join the adventure as pillion passengers. Additional charges apply, and we’ll make sure their comfort is well looked after.

Yes, private tours are available on request. Please note that higher rates may apply, depending on the customisation and group size.

Requirements & Safety

Do I need an international motorcycle license?

Yes, you’ll need an International Driving Permit (IDP) that includes motorcycle entitlement. If you don’t have one yet, you can apply online at Driving Authority and receive your permit within two hours. It’s valid globally for up to three years and costs USD $79.

Our motorcycles have government third-party insured only, we highly recommend you arrange your own personal health insurance before traveling to Thailand. Be sure your policy includes motorcycle touring coverage for international travel. One option is CSM Ltd, which specialises in these plans.

We welcome a wide range of riders, but ideally, you should have at least one year of riding experience or have completed around 5,000 kilometres of road time. Comfort riding at steady speeds and on varied terrain is important, as some days can be longer than others.

No alcohol is permitted while riding. Safety is our top priority, so we maintain a strict no drinking and riding policy during tour hours.

There’s no need to worry. We’re a fully licensed tour company, and all necessary documentation is in order. Checkpoints are normal in Thailand, especially near border regions, and our guides will handle them professionally.

Riding & On Tour Details

Will I be sharing a room with another rider?

No. All riders are provided with their own private accommodation, so no room sharing necessary.

Breakfast is provided at the hotel and usually offers a variety of Thai and Western options. Lunch is a quick and tasty stop, and we always aim to choose quality local restaurants for dinner with both Thai and international menus available.

We ride at a pace that’s comfortable and safe for the group. Whether you prefer a slower cruise or a brisker pace, just let us know—we’ll tailor it accordingly.

Daily ride times can vary depending on the route, but we typically depart around 8:30–9:00 AM and reach our destination by 5:00–6:00 PM. Regular rest stops and scenic detours are planned to keep the journey enjoyable.

Our itineraries primarily stick to paved roads and highways. However, in Thailand road construction zones can occasionally feel like light off roading, but these sections are short and manageable.

Yes, we use a lead and sweep system to keep the group safe and organised. Riders will rotate the rear (sweeper) position to assist with group cohesion and communicate any issues.

Our support vehicle follows the group and carries essential tools, gear and even a spare motorcycle. If a breakdown occurs, we’ll get you back on the road quickly with minimal disruption.
