Take the road less traveled on our 8 day Siam Overland Motorcycle Tour, where scenic curves, rich history and authentic local experiences come together for one unforgettable ride. Starting and ending in Chiang Mai, this all inclusive motorbike journey takes you through some of Northern Thailand’s most breathtaking regions, think misty mountains, quiet villages, UNESCO listed ruins and vibrant border towns.

You’ll be riding the motorcycle of your choice, fully supported by our expert crew and enjoying carefully selected accommodations each night. It’s more than a motorcycle tour, it’s a cultural deep dive into the heart of Thailand, designed for those who love open roads and unforgettable experiences.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Chiang Mai to Mae Sariang (Approx. 200 km)

We kick off in the charming city of Chiang Mai, where you’ll receive a full orientation and bike inspection before setting off. Your first ride takes you through the scenic Doi Inthanon National Park, known for its cool climate, lush forest, and the country’s tallest mountain. Along the way, you’ll visit waterfalls, coffee plantations, and remote hill tribe communities where life moves at a slower pace. End your day in the riverside town of Mae Sariang, nestled among rolling green hills and known for its laid-back vibe and stunning sunsets.

Day 2 – Mae Sariang to Mae Sot (Approx. 230 km)

Your journey continues through curvy mountain passes and along forest-lined roads as you make your way toward Mae Sot, a fascinating border town rich in both Thai and Burmese influences. Stop at scenic viewpoints and off the beaten path gems like the limestone-filled Mae Usu Cave, tucked away in a quiet valley. As you arrive in Mae Sot, explore lively markets, sample local fusion dishes, and enjoy the town’s multicultural atmosphere.

Day 3 – Mae Sot to Sukhothai (Approx. 240 km)

Wind through peaceful countryside and farmlands as you head toward the ancient capital of Sukhothai. The landscapes here are open and serene, giving you a sense of space and freedom. Once in Sukhothai, you’ll explore the famed Historical Park—home to centuries-old temples, lotus-covered ponds, and towering Buddha images. It’s a visual feast and a must-see for history buffs and cultural explorers alike.

Day 4 – Rest Day in Sukhothai

Today is all about rest and exploration. Enjoy a slow morning, take a bike-free day, and explore more of Sukhothai’s charming town and its historic core. Whether it’s browsing the local markets, enjoying traditional Thai massages, or simply lounging by the hotel pool, the day is yours to enjoy however you like.

Day 5 – Sukhothai to Nan (Approx. 280 km)

Today’s route winds through rolling hills, forested stretches, and remote farmland on your way to the northern town of Nan. You’ll even take a scenic ferry ride across the Na Muen River, an experience that adds a fun, adventurous twist to the day. Upon arrival in Nan, explore this underrated gem known for its artistic temples, relaxed atmosphere, and delicious Northern Thai cuisine.

Day 6 – Nan to Bo Kluea – Phu Kha Viewpont – Chiang Klang

Get ready for one of the most thrilling sections of the tour, riding the famously winding route through Bo Kluea. This scenic mountain road offers endless switchbacks and awe inspiring views around every corner. Stop to see the ancient salt wells in Bo Kluea and enjoy a step back in time. From there we ride to Phu Kha Viewpont 1715. Shortly after the visiting the viewpoint, we head into our hotel situated in Chiang Klang.

Day 7 – Chiang Klang – 1148 Café – Phayao

We continue our journey to Phayao, a charming lakeside town where tranquility reigns and time seems to slow down. Take a leisurely stroll along the promenade, soaking in the laid-back atmosphere and the gentle breeze off the water. As the day draws to a close, watch the golden sunset reflect over the peaceful waters of Kwan Phayao, casting a warm glow across the lake. Enjoy a relaxed evening exploring local eateries, sampling regional northern Thai dishes, or simply unwinding by the water’s edge.

Day 8 – Phayao – Chiang Mai

The final leg of your adventure takes you through rolling countryside and quiet roads back to Chiang Mai. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Mae Kachan Hot Springs for a relaxing break and maybe even a traditional hot spring egg snack! Return to our headquarters with memories of an incredible journey. End the tour with a celebratory meal, share stories with your fellow riders, and raise a toast to a week well spent.
